Job Vacancy: Director of Corporate Services
We are recuiting a Director of Corporate Services
The GCC is an independent statutory body established by Parliament to regulate over 3,000 Chiropractors in the UK to ensure the safety of patients undergoing chiropractic treatment.
This is a great time to be joining the GCC as we progress our ambitious strategy, and where we contribute to, and benefit from, significant changes to the healthcare regulatory landscape.
Following a recent organisational change this role has been created bringing together several key areas of accountability within a new Corporate Services Directorate. As Director you will work with the Chief Executive and Registrar alongside the Director of Fitness to Practise and Director of Development forming the GCC senior team.
The role brings together our financial strategy and management (you will be the lead finance officer and professionally qualified) and the management of our contracts ensuring value for money; our governance responsibilities, including our data protection and information governance responsibilities, and for performance reporting together with business planning and project management.
Because we are a small organisation, to succeed here you will need to be a great colleague; supportive; resourceful and flexible. You will have a high profile and be visible to the team; to the Chair and Council; with our stakeholders in the regulatory system; our partners; and with registrants and patients. You may not have experience in all aspects of the role but you will be keen to gain it and take your career forward.
The GCC is a great place to work, and we do so together. It matters to us that we make a real difference in protecting the public and developing the profession. We are positive and work hard – we support, value, care and trust each other. We innovate, and embrace diversity and our growth.
